Dr. Michelle Ng is one of the founders of Empire Education and a passionate advocate of student development and supportive learning. She has over a decade of experience as a tutor and provides UK boarding schools and universities advice. Michelle focuses on course development and academic preparation for school and university entry. Her extensive knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and Science expertise has successfully helped many students gain entry into schools such as Winchester College, Harrow, Tonbridge and Cheltenham Ladies’ College at all ages.
Michelle was educated at Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls in Elstree, UK and gained her medical degree and Psychology BSc from UCL Medical School. As a medical professional she worked extensively with her hospital directorate to facilitate good training and represented the junior doctor body on the Foundation School Newsletter Editorial Panel at the Leicester, Northampton and Rutland NHS Deanery for two years. Having always been committed to educational support and actively involved in medical education as a doctor, it was upon moving to Hong Kong in 2009 that Michelle decided to devote her time fully as an educator.
Michelle also brings her experience as a mentor and is a board member of the KELY Support Group, a Hong Kong charity that aims to empower young people and help them to achieve their potential. In addition to teaching, she is also a medical tourism writer for Global Health and Travel Magazine.
It is her firm belief that educating the next generation through inspiration and innovation is vital, and with her love of both arts and science, she understands the need to foster creativity as well as communication and presentation skills to enable all students to develop the skills needed for the future.
